This is the start of a period of study for now focusing on faces.  I am using Burne Hogarth - Drawing the Human head as study aid and I will complete some portrait studies- moving on to traditional media.  So here is the first installment.

 Worked on this one for a while.  Started off with a figure and then dropped in the environment.  Had some fun with the textures which I think is a first for me. Dropped some photo textures but these got painted out as the work progressed.

Lightning Speedpaint Study

A lightening speedpaint study.  This one took under 1 hour.  The whole thing captured on Livestream.
Brushes should not matter but in this case I made full use of a cloud brush which did a lot of the heavy lifting on this piece.  Lightening was fiddly.  Reference was from here.
